As a matcha lifestyle brand from Japan, we strive to increase the number of people with healthy minds and bodies, and bring happiness into their lives.
Our story:
It was when I was diagnosed with pregnancy induced diabetes that I first began to take a proper look at my physical health and came across matcha tea. When I held my child in my arms, I realized that I wanted to share with my child, and my future children, a way to feel “happiness” in their own mental health by combining two old traditions of Japan together. I’d like to pass on these traditions in this age of social media where we are bombarded with information about other people's lives, both good and bad.
Matcha has been a common Japanese drink for centuries. And just as old is the philosophy of “IKIGAI” which is derived from Japanese words for life and meaning. By combining these two traditions, I wish to encourage both physical and mental health.
That is the goal of IKIGAI MATCHA.
