our story
I first encountered matcha when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and began to take a proper look at my physical health.
When I held my child in my arms, I strongly felt that I wanted my child and future children to be able to feel their own “happiness”.
Matcha and its culture have been enjoyed in Japan since ancient times. The philosophy of “IKIGAI = meaning of life,” which is also known overseas as the Japanese word ‘Ikigai’ (meaning “purpose in life”).
These are things that many people need in this day and age when we are bombarded with information about other people's situations, both good and bad, through social networking services and the like.
We would like to propose a healthy time in the daily lives of many people by crossing two good old traditions of Japan and conveying them to them.
This is the desire of IKIGAI MATCHA.
